Short Term Rentals

Gerrish Township has approved a Short-Term Rental Ordinance intended to protect the public health, safety, and general welfare of people and property by requiring the licensing of Short-Term Rentals within the Township. Gerrish Township Short-Term Rental Ordinance #50 will be effective May 1, 2026. This ordinance will be hosted and updated on the Short-Term Rentals Page on the Gerrish Township Police website.

Beginning May 1, 2026, the Township will accept applications for Short-Term Rental (STR) Permits for the 2027 calendar year. To be considered for a permit, applicants must submit a completed application with all required forms and supporting documents and a non-refundable $100.00 application processing fee.

No more than eighty (80) permits will be awarded.
