August 17, 2015 Special Assessment Public Hearing Fire/EMS
Please take notice that the Township Board has determined the costs to operate the Gerrish Township Fire/Emergency Medical Services Department and the Gerrish Township Police Department for the Township fiscal year of 2016-2017 and has tentatively declared its intention to create Special Assessment Districts to fund the operation of these departments. The Special Assessment Districts shall include all real property in the Township.
Proposed budgets for these departments may be examined at the office of the Township Clerk from thirty days prior to these hearings until and including the date of Public Hearings and further examined at the Public Hearings.
The Public Hearings on the estimated costs to operate these departments will be held at the Gerrish Township Municipal Center, 2997 E. Higgins Lake Drive, Roscommon, MI 48653. The Police Department hearing will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 and the Fire/EMS Services hearing will begin at 5:30pm on Monday, August 17, 2015.
At the hearings, the board will consider any written objections to any of the foregoing matters that might be filed with the Township Board at or prior to the time of the Hearings. All interested persons are invited to be present to submit comments concerning the proposed Special Assessment Districts.
